Happy Monday, Sursum Corda MKE!
Last Friday night’s events were a great success. Although we did not have a spiritual talk, we were able to have a great time and grow in friendship.
In fact, it was actually very important. In St. Francis de Sales’ Introduction to the Devout Life, the saint talks about how good friendship is needful for us in the world.
The night started off with mass and adoration. The Sursum Corda MKE choir was able to sing during the Low Mass this time. Ben Yanke, although a little late, led the choir in “Veni, Veni Emmanuel” and “To Jesus Christ Our Sovereign King”, among others. Be sure to contact us if you are interested in joining the choir in the future.
We then proceeded to do an Ugly Sweater Party and a Yankee Gift Swap. We had the pleasure of receiving visitors from the foreign lands of France and Minnesota attend the event this time.
The night closed at midnight with adoration and Benediction.
For those interested in future events, we should be visiting Chicago and going to the March for Life in the not too distant future.
Stay awesome, Sursum Corda MKE!
